Janet W. Wilson, CFP®, BFA

Practice Manager, Director of Financial Planning

As your financial advocate, Janet is committed to providing information and options in an independent and objective environment. Working with Janet will enable you to see your entire financial picture. She’ll put all the pieces together to give you a cohesive and comprehensive view of your overall financial status.

Janet has been in the financial services business since 1985. She graduated from Colorado State University and holds a bachelor's degree in business economics. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, Behavioral Finance Advisor designation, FINRA licenses 7, 24, 63 and 65, as well as those licenses covering life, disability, and long-term care insurance. Janet is also a registered tax preparer.

Experience matters in a changing world. During 40 years of industry experience, Janet has successfully navigated all that life throws at us – from an industry perspective and a client perspective. Janet has also grown in the industry – some of you may remember when she operated under Wilson Financial Solutions, Inc, then as a partner in Wilson and Klenovich Financial Planning. Now, as the owner and Practice Manager of Motivus Wealth Management, Janet will continue to work in her client’s best interest and uphold her fiduciary responsibilities to her clients. Janet will continue to guide and mentor her Motivus teammates.

Janet acts as Practice Manager and Director of Financial Planning. Within the team construct, Janet’s other areas of specialization are long-term care options and retirement income planning, and compliance.

Janet and her husband Jim have lived and worked in the Elizabeth/Parker, Colorado community for more than 25 years. Jim recently retired from teaching and coaching in the Elizabeth community.  The teaching/coaching mentality has rubbed off on Janet – as she is constantly educating, motivating, and cheering her clients towards their goals. Jim and Janet are the parents of three adult children, all of whom got married within 11 months of each other. College and weddings x 3 - talk about planning! In the spirit of competition, all their children decided to have babies at the same time – keeping “GrandJan” and “Pop” busy for the last couple of years. Jim and Janet are now the proud grandparents of 6 cuties. When not working, Janet can be found playing with her grandkids, working in her garden, or out on the tennis courts (yes, she has also embraced pickle ball!).

Roman Wilson

Dog

Hi, my name is Roman Wilson. I’m the latest addition to the Wilson household.  Mom says I am a gift for Dad so he doesn’t sit around the house too much in his retirement.  I keep them both busy throwing the frisbee. I can catch it out of the air.  Lately, I have enjoyed jumping the fence in my back yard and going on walk-abouts.  Sometimes, I hear them talking about me and mom whispers “what were we thinking?”…  and why does she keep calling me “Moron”?

Summer Shandy Wilson

Dog

Good day, and it's always a good day when you are a dog in my human's household. My name is Summer Shandy (Summer for short - and yes, I was named after a beer). My life is chasing a frisbee and sitting calmly when butterflies and hummingbirds dive bomb me. I help my mom out by dropping a nasty frisbee on her lap if she has been at her desk for too long. She squeals and takes me outside to chase. It works well for both of us.

Simon-Patterson-pic

Simon Patterson

Dog

Hi there! I’m Simon—the proud eldest pup in the Patterson Pack. I used to be the center of attention, and honestly, I loved it. But I’ve learned that sharing the spotlight isn’t so bad—especially now that we have more hands for belly rubs!

I live with my younger dog brother Remi, and our two amazing humans: my little sister Miley and my human brother Levi. Remi and I have the occasional disagreement (usually over who gets the comfiest spot on the dog bed), but we’re a solid team. I’m also helping Miley learn how to be part of the pack—she’s still young, but she’s catching on quickly.

I’m moderately active and love going to the park to sunbathe, sniff every tree, and watch Remi chase the ball like it’s his life’s mission. I might chase a bird if it gets too close, but mostly I’m there to enjoy the scenery.

My favorite part of the day? Waking up Levi with a tail wag and a nudge for morning pets. It’s the best way to start the day in the Patterson Pack.

Remi Patterson

Dog

Hi-ya! I’m Remi—your high-energy, ball-chasing, bark-happy best friend. I’ve never met a ball I didn’t love, whether I’m chewing it, chasing it, or snuggling up with it for a nap. I thrive on two daily park runs (minimum!), and if I don’t get them, I’ll politely remind Mom and Dad with a few enthusiastic barks.

Think you’ve got a cannon for an arm? Let’s test it—I’m always game for a long-distance fetch challenge. My favorite time of day? Mealtime with my human brother, Levi. He’s generous with his snacks and loves to share with me and my buddy Simon. I’m not sure why he laughs when he does it, but I’m just here for the tasty bites—way better than what’s in my bowl!

Oh, and I’ve got a sister named Miley! She’s my partner in crime, cuddle buddy, and fellow snack enthusiast. Together, we keep the house lively and full of love.

Life’s a game, and I’m always ready to play. Let’s go!

Pemi Murphy

Dog

My name is Pemi. I am 10 years old and was adopted by my mom and dad at 8 weeks of age. I am a tea-cup Australian Shepard mix. I am a little shy but full of love. My favorite hobbies are playing fetch my with mini tennis balls, herding my dad while he is riding his bike and keeping the yard and garden free of squirrels and birds. I also protect my family from the delivery drivers that routinely try and visit our home. For tricks, I can sit, lay down, turn around, jump and shake hands. While I will do these tricks when asked, I prefer to perform knowing a treat is coming. My favorite human foods are steak, eggs and pizza crust. If my humans are having any of those foods, I wait patiently for my share to go into my bowl. During the day I like to sleep on my parents bed until they come home. When I hear the garage door open, I know it's time to play with my family

Sylvester and Pigeon

Kittens

Hi, I’m Sylvester! I’m the king of rough play and the master of annoying my sister. When it comes food, I want it all – mine, hers, and anything else I can find! After I’ve eaten my fill and caused some chaos, I’m really just a sweet, cuddly mama’s boy who loves snuggles more than anything.

Hi, I’m Pigeon! I’m an independent little lady – sweet, well-mannered, and proud of it. I don’t cause trouble (unlike someone I live with). My brother is always bugging me, stealing my food and trying to play rough but I handle it with grace… most of the time. A good nap or cuddle makes everything better.
